Rotary WDT Needle Distributor
An 11-needle WDT distributor with a magnetic base that seats on the basket, adjustable depth and a body that comes apart for rinsing.
accessories · MM018
Most WDT tools are a handle with needles pushed into it — you stir, the wrist does the work, and no two shots get the same pattern. IKAPE put a one-way bearing between the screw rod and the head instead: press the top, twist once, and the head carries itself through a full 360° on a 1.58 mm needle grid. The body is machined aluminium at 430 g, which is heavy enough to sit on the basket without being held; ten magnets in the base keep it centred while it turns. Depth adjusts to the dose. This is the premium end of the range — the bearing and the machining are what the extra costs.

01
Fourteen 0.25 mm needles on a 1.58 mm grid, sitting on a one-way bearing rather than on a fixed handle. Press the top and twist once and the head carries itself through a full turn — which is why the pattern is the same on the first shot of the morning and the last of the night. This is the part the cheaper needle tools do not have.

02
The screw rod feeds the bearing rather than the needles, which is why a single press-and-twist gets 360° out of it. No pumping, no dragging the tool through the bed, nothing to learn.

03
Dose size changes how deep the needles should reach — a 14 g basket and a 20 g basket do not want the same setting. The depth adjusts so the needle tips stop where the bed does.

04
The base carries ten magnets, so the tool seats on the basket instead of hovering over it. That is what keeps the spin centred: if the body shifts, the pattern shifts with it.

05
The comparison the supplier photographs is a standard needle tool beside this one: the thinner needles break the same clump into more pieces, which is the whole point of the WDT step before tamping.

06
A machined aluminium body with a knurled skirt and a printed badge. 430 g is heavy enough to sit on the basket without being held and light enough to lift off one-handed — on a tool at this price the mass is part of what you are buying.
